Review: 2007 Audi RS4 vs BMW M3
Tiff Needell and the Fifth Gear gang take the new Audi RS4 and BMW M3 out on an open track for a review involving spirited driving and some drifting. As a previous Audi S4 (B5) owner, the new RS4 is the first Audi in six years that has me on the edge of my seat in anticipation. Tiff was not very specific about the dynamics of the car other than restating the general characteristics of Quattro cars. I wonder if the new rearward bias has improved handling and whether the chassis stiffening has been effective. I won’t spoil the overall outcome of the review but I was impressed.

2007 Audi TT Coupe
After an almost eight year run, Audi has redesigned the TT coupe. They’ve incorporated many of the stylistic elements from the first generation TT and combined them with the new design direction of Audi’s other model lines. As with any new German car, there are various technology upgrades that can be read about below. My overall impression of the design is elation and relief. It seems like the Germans have followed the Japanese in recent years by making their cars excessively ugly. In contrast to this trend, Audi has updated its style with moderation. Gumball 3000 Rally - 2006
Gumball 3000 Rally - 2006 is going to be amazing. Three “missions” will span 3 continents over eight days. On April 30, the rally will begin in London like last year, then jump to east Asia and finally jump again to the United States for a finish on Rodeo Drive in Los Angeles on May 7. I’ll be adding a lot more information on the event as time goes on. Either hit play on the preview video below or download it for later viewing.

2006 Koenigsegg CCX
Serious Wheels posted preliminary pictures of the 2006 Koenigsegg CCX. For those that don’t know why this is significant, the predecessor of the CCX was the Koenigsegg CCR which held the top speed world record until the Bugatti Veyron spectacularly trumped it. The CCX should now be a contender to retake the title which means that car enthusiasts are in for a treat. For now there is very little information on this car so expect a few updates to this post.
Update (2.23.2006): David’s blog has links to the brochure of the CCX. According to the brochure, I have to agree with David’s conclusions that this is just a face-lifted CCR. I’m waiting for a full press release which should clear up everything.

Bugatti: 1,001 horsepower, $1.24 million
CNN is reporting that Bugatti has started production on their Veyron 16/4 supercar. The projected price is in the neighborhood of $1.24 million dollars each. Us car nuts have waited for many years for this day to finally come. Click here for a list of previous Bugatti Veyron posts.
