Windows-Based Treo Could Be Coming on Monday

The mobile space just became a whole lot more cramped. PalmOne’s famous Treo used to only run Palm OS but now it seems like the rumors are true that Windows Mobile 5.0 will power a new version. Named the Palm Tero 700w, it’s set to be released on Monday in San Francisco with Verzion Wireless being the official release partner. It sounds very enticing.

Mercedes Benz CLK-DTM AMG Cabriolet

Breathless is the best way to describe how this car leaves you once you see it. Now for the specs: 582 horsepower, 5.5L supercharged V8, electronically limited to 300 km/h, and a speedometer that goes to 360 km/h (225 miles per hour). If only Mercedes Benz would send them to the United States.

2007 Mercedes Benz S-Class AMG

Here are pictures of the AMG bodywork on the new 2007 Mercedes Benz S-Class. Among the cosmetic changes the AMG S-Class gets a new front airdam, side skirts, and rear bumper. It looks quite a bit more aggressive than the photos of the car spied in San Diego. Mercedes has gotten rid of the current 5.5L Supercharged V8 that put out close to 500 horsepower in favor of a 6.3L normally aspirated V8 which is just a hair over 505 horsepower. Rumors are abound about a possible addition of a supercharger to the new engine once the 7-speed automatic can handle the massive torque.

2006 Ferrari F430 Challenge

The new Ferrari F430 Challenge looks like quite a car. 490 horsepower, 343 lb-ft of torque and a curb weight of 2700 pounds should make for some vicious performance numbers.

i-Mate Jasjar is out!

The phone that I’ve wanted forever is finally out. The i-Mate Jasjar (formerly known as the HTC Universal) is a combination Pocket PC PDA and phone in one package. What makes it unique is the large VGA screen, full keyboard, tri-band connectivity (lacks 850Mhz band), UTMS (3G data services capable), two 1.3 megapixel cameras, full wifi and bluetooth built-in, and Windows Mobile 5.0 (latest version) all in a small package. About the only thing it lacks is a compact flash slot. It can be ordered from Expansys for immediate shipping from the UK. The I-Mate Phone Store has it in the United States for $1200.00 (not a typo).

iPod Nano Reviewed and then Destroyed

I hope I’m not coming of sounding like an iPod Nano fanboy but Arstechnica did a rather interesting review of one. The reviewers went through the unique features in the iPod Nano and then proceeded to destroy it. Amazingly it was still playing music after being sat on, dropped, thrown out of a car, and driven over although the screen was broken. Finally launching it into the air is what destroyed it. They follow all of this up by taking the iPod Nano apart. Remember this is the 2gig model which is different than the disassembly of the 4gig I posted a few days ago.

A PSP and a black iPod Nano would go pretty nicely with my black Motorola RAZR V3, HP iPaq HX4705 PDA, and JVC 7310 laptop (to get a better idea of how small my laptop is, go here).
